Garum the Roman fish sauce

Garum was the most appreciated fish-based sauce in Ancient Rome. We prepare this delicious sauce grating ling roe, hake roe and cod roe and mixing with EVOO. You can use this sauce by sprinkling it on ripe tomatoes or putting a few drops on pasta, pizza and grilled steaks to make the flavor pop. Chefs favor using Garum in place of salt in dishes, since it does double duty by both salting a dish and accentuating its flavors.
